Hahaha no more chatbox. I don't know how to put it back and don't think I will-it's such an unnecessary necessity. Comment only lah.

This holidays are not so fun for me. So many things lined up everyday-like the past few days I've been waking up at the ungodly holidays hour of 7am to put on make up. Gaaaaahhhh I dislike make up.

Shannon, you went to the same edu fair as I did on Sunday! Did you see Cerdwin there? I didn't see you lah, but I saw her...And Su Ling, when I gave my handphone number to your college, I thought they'd be like other colleges-not calling, etc, but mana tau the other day I was on the KTM a girl rang me up! She was like "So have you made your choice yet?" as if anyone could make a future-altering choice of deciding what to do after SPM that easily! I mean, you need, at the very least, two weeks to consider all your options!

And I don't know if she was being friendly or promotional, but she kept asking me when I was free so that I could go down to KDU to check out the campus. Gosh. That was WEIRD. And too friendly lah. Sorry to say. After reading all of your blog posts on KDU, Su Ling, I've decided not to consider KDU too deeply.

Taylor's as usual went all out with their artsy fartsy stuff to draw more rich students there. I mean, their booth, though it stood out, stood out like an unhumble sore thumb. I avoided it at all cost.

However, at the fair (Which I went with three other friends), I also noticed many things. Like, the XPAX booth had pretty girls with long, 3 feet hair wearing itsy bitsy little teeny weeny white mini skirts. That was just plain exploitation of women. Anyway. Daryl, Khadi and I went to the booth and signed up for the free SIM pack. We (or rather, I) complained loudly (but no too loud) about the lack of cute guys at that particular telco booth. I mean, seriously! If there's cute girls to attract guys, what's stopping Celcom from hiring extremely cute guys to attract girls?

On another note, when I went home that day, my mom told me the free SIM pack plus the RM5 talktime was just a marketing ploy, which I already knew, but what I didn't know was that you'd be BILLED for subscription fees every month after you activate it. Boo the purple telco which tries to cheat unsuspecting teenagers!!!! Booo!!!!

I do have two colleges which drew my interest-Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA-Hahahaha) and Raffles Design Institute. MIA offers all arts stuff-design, music, fine art, etc. Raffles-well, I only know it because it was the place where they shot Project Runway Malaysia. I didn't know Felix came from that institute!

Follow Him

It's a place where they sell pasta, chicken and mushroom gourmet pie, a coffee called vienna, club sandwich, roasted beef sandwich, salads, etc. There's also shakes and iced drinks, and for the kids, "Fluffy Koala" and "Squashed Frog". So far I've not tasted any caffeine beverages yet.

Anyway. I saw some stuff in Rock Corner that I'd like to spend my money on, but I know I've got to be wise and not splurge on the things which will not give benefits nor interests to me. It's still fun mentioning those things though.

First of course is Justin Timberlake's deluxe edition of Futuresex/Lovesounds, available at RM 49.90.

However I am now having second thoughts after I read the reviews on Amazon.com where it only got a measly 2 out of 5 stars. Maybe the next item?

Then we have the absolutely worth-it-at-such-a-price Coldplay CD box set at RM 83.90. (It's called a gift box-just checked with amazon.com)

This box set contains Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head along with a bonus concert DVD. It contains two music CDs and a DVD. Come on, let me hear you say it, "Bargain!".
I'd like to see the concert DVD 'cos apparently, Coldplay are known for being great live performers. I mean, their Singapore concert was sold out lah, and do you know how many citizens are there in Singapore?

Sometimes, after a few days, I have to imagine all of my belongings perishing and destroying in a fire. It's not sadistic.
I mean, all that we have now will dissapear sooner or later, and I don't want to be the emotionally challenged one when something is gone from my grasp. I don't want to bawl my lungs out and cry till my tear ducts are dry when some object is missing. I will never want to be the person who's so attached to a material that my life depends on it, you know what I mean?
It's like, if my life depends on that one thing so much and I know that it'll never get me anywhere, why bother having it in the first place, you know?

Anyway. Imagining all the things that I have gone forever-I have to pray I can stand that. I mean, can YOU stand it? Everything gone just like that?

Everything's not lost when your stuff is gone. I know for a fact I have somewhere and someone else I can go to no matter what the circumstances may be.

It was raining all the way before Hydrowar began. The mountains in the distance were shrouded with a layer of gauze-like clouds and the rain did not look like it was going to stop. Oh, the dissapointment could be felt in the air.
Bernice called for everyone's attention for a short prayer.

We all hung around some more before the rain turned into a drizzle and was no more! Hydrowar is on.

A new currency, Grace Dollar was introduced to replace GY Euro due to the war (Hydrowar). The value of GY Euro went down after that, so lots of people were looking for Dollars. The 500 Dollar note is hard to come by (hence the "Now You're talking!" by Pastor Henry on the note) so when I got it I was very ectastic.


The next day, it was announced that due to the war, the GY Euro has been an antique, so 25% is added to its original value when you bank it in. Talk about drama, eh?

The bands totaly rocked the crowd with all their songs. I could tell that people would go crazy for Majesty by Planet Shakers. Understandable. It was such a cool tune! Oh, and the I Am A Friend Of God song was really fun and it got the whole crowd jumping and going crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy!!! After taking a more serious tone, the crowd really got into worshipping Him with all their heart and soul. When Pastor Henry moved around to cast the annointing of His name, I fell on the ground for the very first time in my life. It was so emotional and amazing. I began shedding tears non-stop. The effects of encountering the Lord on such a spiritual level. I even went on my knees during worship because I just wanted to get closer to him and I got lost in His presence. =) I love You, God. Muaaxx! Haha, I know You love me too. XD

I never wanted the P & W to end. Oh well. Like Ps. John said in camp, "All good things must come to an end." But not so fast la, right? =S.. haha

deny yourself

Heard at Grace Youth camp 2007:

"When you drink alcohol, you cannot stand properly, you cannot walk properly, you cannot talk properly. Do you think you can have sex properly?"-Ps. Henry

So many things to talk about the camp. Well, the weather up at Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands was FREAKING cold but lovely at the same time. There's no need for air-cons nor fans and the walls are cold everytime, just like the water.

I thought I had appendititis (that appendix thing) on the last night of camp. I jumped a lot and screamed even more after eating my dinner which was a bad idea, maybe. It was so terrifyingly painful, like punches or a screw turning around in my intestines. Lasted for about one hour during the service. I couldn't even laugh to Pastor Henry's jokes (un-tung-ke-tak-un-tung) without gasping from the pain. Sitting straight, hunched or normally was also bad for my intestines. Goodness it was horrible. Thank God for Cynthia next to me.

The whole time during the sermon I was thinking of the possibilities that could happen: I've been diagnosed with that appendix disease and will have to undergo an operation to take it out. Then I thought about the anaesthesia and the scars after the operation at some random surgery in Cameron.

Then Pastor Henry said "God is always with you. And He will never leave you, even in your worst moments,". I thought, "Does this qualify as a bad moment?"
It still hurt at the end of Pastor's sermon and hurt even when I stood up. However, something happened in that few minutes when Pastor Henry lead us all into a time of prayer for the touch of the Holy Spirit. The pain did not immediately dissapear, though I did not give up asking God to take it away.
I felt something working in my body, and when Pastor Henry prayed for me, I fell. True enough, God is merciful and loving and took the pain away from me when I asked.

Like any other last night at any camp, that last night changed lots of our lives.


Here's the news for the first day.
"Anyway, wouldn't it be weird if guys had implants and everybody just watch it and...touch it? Eeeeww!"

I was laughing the whole time I watched this.
Mmmmm......donuts.

Day 6

Today I got the news that my younger sister won 2 tickets to the My Chemical Romance concert. I'm going to rope in her talents to win me some Justin Timberlake tickets next.
Hitz FM is holding this MCR contestlah-and the smart sister has been keeping her ears on that channel since last week.
When I asked her if she prayed for the win, she said :"Since July!" XD God is good, no?
I do not like MCR and I think they are seriously a bad influence for teenagers but well, it's her life and she won the tickets. And no, she's not taking me along to the concert-it's during GY camp lah, a bigger concert than MCR.

Anyway....yup, just wanted to tell you all that. MY GOODNESS the total net amount of prizes she's won in this two years already over exceeds mine in like 5 years! Teenagers can really make the best out of their years. I just hope and pray that it's for the right reasons.

Which reminds me. You know the prom dress Izzie wore on the finale? Apparently it was designed by this designer called Amsale who was on Oprah. Here's the website: amsale.com

The dress was apparently a white wedding gown, but the people of G.Anatomy wanted it in scarlet (lol) so Amsale & her team had to make the same one in scarlet a.s.a.p.

By using the daylight white balance on the camera phone, you will get a picture like this on a nice sunny day:

I think it looks kind of fluoroscent-ish and very bold.
But if you use the cloudy setting, it will look much prettier, warmer and more 80s-ish.

This is my secret: even indoors I still use the cloudy setting to make everything look rusty and warm.

Banana Split


Oh menyusahkan betul! Kalaulah pertolongan saudari Yin Xian diberi pada kes ini, sudah tentu saya tidak akan berada di sini, memblogging dengan bodohnya. Tidak mengapa! Kerana saya tahu semuanya boleh 'sap sap sui' punya.

I've been reading Kenangan2 Seorang Geisha. I read it faster in BM. Not planning to re-read the thing in English. Very emo lah when it's in BM.

Amatlah memanaskan cuaca hari ini. Jika saudari mempunyai masalah dengan kata-kataku yang jujur, silakan saudari menghembus nafas dengan perlahan-lahan agar segala kekusutan di minda saudari dapat dihilangkan.

Dan jika saudari Nana sedang membaca, saya amatlah berterima kasih jika saudari boleh meninggalkan 'link' saudari di chatbox saya agar saya dapat me'link' balik kepada blog saudari.

Pada pendapat saya, blog saudari Su Ling amatlah menarik untuk dibaca kerana ia serupa dengan diari seseorang remaja. Kadang kala post-postnya begitu kelakar sehingga saya ketawa lebih daripada blog Kenny Sia.

mega mendung



There was this one time in our pre-teen lives I'm sure, my closest friends and I lived on the song Miss Independent by Kelly Clarkson. You know that song? Yah...that one.
We thought it was all about no-boyfriends stuff. Whatever.
I still think Kelly Clarkson is a great singer.
But at the end of Ms I, she got a guy.

Fast forward two years later...Miss Independent told her guy to Walkaway! All the preteen singletons rejoiced. Dang right they did, preteens are NOT supposed to couple up. Even teens for that matter. Don't tell me that crap that we need experience before going into the world.
You get your only one heart broken after every heartbreak, and you tell me it's to make you stronger? Who are you, Kanye West? Your heart will break so many times you will end up without a heart at the end of the day. I don't see the LURVE in that.

And even better. Kelly Clarkson came up with Never Again, the ultimate emoish break up song (to me lah) of 2007! I thought that would at LEAST KNOCK some sense into my friends' minds to control themselves from getting a bf/gf at their school year, but NOOO....Look who had to couple up during the SPM trials.

Say goodbye to your freedom! Say it! SAY IT!

There are SO MANY more fishes in the big blue sea. Don't trap yourself to just the fishes you see now.

GAAAAAHHH I've felt 32 kinds of stress in the last two days. 32! That is a new record.
Well. I went to pre-camp. The powers that be said that they were extra hard working this year, having cybercops and all to watch what we were doing. I bet they used the Google blogs. (I use it all the time HAHAHA)

Tuesday is the last paper then I will be off with a minimal amount of cash to look for crucial objects I might need for this one week or two. Hmm. Today's the 2nd. Anybody put their Xmas tree up yet?

The news that I kena came to me about 25 minutes before the meeting started.
Was I angry? Yes. Some were informed during VBS itself, so obviously being the person that I am, I do feel left out. Why is it that they know earlier? Why couldn't everyone be notified at the same time?
By them being notified DAYS earlier, they had a BIG headstart and could've even started on the tags already. Goodness.
This is so sad. I need a free canvas. And some free Swarvoski diamonds. HAHAHA.

I will be off to D.I.E!!! with many other people.
And Sam, if you're wondering, yes, I AM mad at you. In a good way. Deep down inside I am asking myself, "Since when did your friends become more important than God?".
