Notes from a smartphone

Today was a day of many firsts and many lessons.
My youth pastor, brother Philip, let me drive the (manual!) church van from rawang to Klang, with Bryan and yoke pei and Ezekiel inside. "that's a true youth pastor there :)" replied Bawanie on FB. couldn't agree more.

It's fathers day tomorrow. If you have a dad, buy him a cake and celebrate.

fruit tarts are yummy

if you are doing God's work, there will always be opposition to what you do. if you're speaking the truth about God, there will always be persecution and mockery to what you do.

people change. don't hold what one person said in the past against him. (unless it's a promise)
am i talking about you? am i talking about me?
siapa makan cili padi, dia yang rasa pedas.

i am so excited for two dear sisters in Christ of mine, whom i spoke with briefly last week. both of them are facing that part of their life where everything is on the turning point - the tipping point, if you will - and i share in their excitement for what God has in store for them.

God will test you before he can trust you. In whatever you want to do for God, there will be a test that you must pass first. and he only gives these tests to those whom he dearly loves, and those whom he gives the grace to succeed. i hope you are able to grasp what i'm saying and see beyond the present, into the things unseen. just trust God. amen!

One of the best nights of 2011. I am so very thankful for everything and everyone. God blew my mind, again.

Lately, the words that Senior Pastor said during last year's Watchnight Service has been ringing true and clear in my mind. "Everything that can be shaken, will be shaken, so that the strong and true foundation will remain - Jesus Christ."

Huuuuhhh. I like that part about Jesus remaining as the true and strong foundation, but I'm not a fan of the shaking part. The pre-shaking part is also too edgy for me.

Hello. Yesterday I did my very first shadow photography. Basically, I tag behind the photographer and get the names of the people photographed for captioning purposes. It is more fun than it sounds.

Thankfully none of the celebrities threw a hissy fit when I asked them for their names-they were all obliging and very polite! I didn't know half of them. I'm pretty sure I met Tinie the supermodel but I don't know where I've seen her from. I blame the deluge of online/offline modelling contests :p

There wasn't any "celebrity" I wanted to talk to in particular, but I recognized Dorian Gray in the crowd, and i chatted with him. Woo hoo!
Trains here. Gotta go!
