escape!

Trivial pursuits and thoughts with no deep or lasting effect is and will be taking over my posts for these few moments. Sometimes, no one really wants to hear about your problems. And sometimes, the best thing and the only thing to do is to keep one's mouth shut to the things happening around you.

Because the only thing we need is time and grace!

Also, seenamon.

Coldplay's performing Lost on MTV World Stage now. See ya.

hey soul sister, ain't that mister mister on that radio, stereo

one day I can look back at all of these stories and smile
knowing that it's all by God's amazing grace in allowing me to grow.
because what felt impossible for me, was always possible for Him.

busy friday

After ab-ys-mal elections was class. Then had to wait for iona, so i went to the lab to use the comp, and went to happythings.tumblr.com

And then we went to get credit for her phone because i was using it the whole afternoon ringing the usmart committee, and we wanted to call habib.

because i got an FB message that says khadi got hospitalised! admitted to sri kota for acute asthma attack. anyway. after we thought of where to get credit, i called habib and asked him if it was the KL sri kota or KLANG sri kota. cos, you know, sri kota is a franchise xD

then iona got lost cos of my innate sense of direction :x and we got there. and found khadi. sleeping. :x but she woke up when we giggled a little too much :D

then her family members came and we left. then iona dropped me off klang club, and i went to get the keys from the reception, and walked around the parking lot looking for the car, pressing the "unlock" button the whole time. WHERE IS THE CAR?!!!

i was more agitated than panicked. i mean, it's a car. not a kancil. shouldn't it be noticable?! and i was getting blisters from the shoes...then i found that it was near to where iona dropped me off ^^"

then i drove manual. which i haven't done in MONTHS. susah man. and the seat was low, and there was a light on the dashboard (the one with the oil and tea pot). journey mercy, Lord! praise Him i reached home safely and soundly with the engine making the "rrrrrrrbrrrrBBBRR" noise and all.

reached home at 730, went off to cell. sis kim's gate was locked! O_O And it looked like it was gonna rain! O__O no matter, i planned to have dinner at palm grove mamak anyway. nasi lemak and tasteless iced tea later i found joshua nicholas and matthew in the house.

i had to leave cell early at 930 to go pick up aidee. now home, 1230, waiting for mom to come back from a bachelorette party.

hope!

*blank* the musical!

If someone says "musical" to me, I would probably think The Sound of Music. Annie. Disney musical sing a longs.

Cheesy, corny, predictable plot with feel good theme all around. Here, however, are some recent musicals which may have only a few or none of the above!

I chose those pictures because they were all uniform but unique! Plus, it looks like the font for Coca Cola. Haha! So, FAME (2009) will finally be making it to Malaysian cinemas. After that long, I was starting to wonder if we would be able to catch it.

However, one musical I was interested in watching might NOT be making it to Malaysian cinemas. Boo. It's relatively unknown, but did create a small buzz.

From the director of Chicago and Memoirs of a Geisha, NINE.

Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Fergie, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Sophia Loren?! If that's not what makes a hit I don't know what is.

super!

O most merciful Redeemer,
may I know Thee more clearly,
love Thee more dearly,
follow Thee more nearly,
day by day.

Lately, all I've been doing is the two thumbs up sign and saying "Cool" to everything. Like this. "Cool." *two thumbs up*

Aiyah want to blog about what lah you tell me, can?!! LOL Sam reference.

Subjects are: Consumer Behavior. Marketing Research. (Both very alike, I cannot tell what class it is I'm in. Yes, same lecturer.) Principles of Finance! What is THAT! Environmental Science. And the non-existent Business Law.

the Artist

The silent lightning really does light up the night sky skillfully. The anatomies of the clouds are revealed for a split second, glowing yellow but still colored a funny brownish-grey shade.

And as all these flashes of light occur, no one is disturbed from their slumber! Hmm, the Artist does work in silence sometimes.

that which we call stress

"The only question I am inclined to turn aside as being impossible to respond to happens to be the one most often raised these days, not just by my biologist friends but by everyone: how to avoid stress, prevent stress, allay stress.
I refuse to have anything to do with this matter, having made up my mind, from everything I have read or heard about it in recent years, that what people mean by stress is simply the condition of being human, and I will not recommend any meddling with that by medicine or any other profession."

A very imaginative and complicated plot, a movie which I have yet to see.

letter

dear sam and cher,
if i knew both of you wanted the piano i would've thrown it to you guys and gave you guys boxing gloves to fight over it. sadly, that is not the case.
this is because i received a message from an aquaintance regarding the said piano.
trust me, i would have rather given one of you girls the piano because at least i know it would be used by people i know who need it. this buyer whom i barely know, i don't know lah.
anyways! on to better things.

And happy new year to you too.

The picture was taken at Daryl's farewell on the eve of new year eve. He must be somewhere in Buffolo Buffaloe Baffolo New York now.

This year, I hope to not reminisce on sad things as much as last year.

"When you talk about your troubles, your ailments, your diseases, your hurts, you give longer life to what makes you unhappy. Talking about your grievences merely adds to those grievances. Give recognition only to what you desire. Think and talk only about the good things that add to your enjoyment of work and life. If you don't talk about your grievances, you'll be delighted to find them disappearing quickly."
-Thomas Dreier

Although some people think that's an absurdly stupid thing to do.

Stop comparing. Whether it is wealth, health, intelligence or friends, I hope to stop comparing and be thankful for the abundance of life I have in everything.

Get the two fangs pulled out. This one is a bit hard, I have to admit, because I HATE PAIN. And they almost always NEVER knock you out before a painful oral procedure like extraction.

To submit everything to Him. So many people do not know what their destinies are. I have not the slightest clue either, but I know He knows. And if I know He knows, that's all that matters.

And lastly, to be more happy, less morose and filled with more joy from above than I can imagine so I can infect others with it! Woohoo!
