Oh yes yes college life is SO much fun, we get to wear our pajamas to classes, go online whenever and wherever we want, and get to make so many friends.
BUT it's not fun when ALL of Malaysia is on holiday, and you're not. Secondary and primary school students get to go to the KLCC book fair in this two weeks and what are we college people stuck with? LECTURES. Count your blessings I say, count.

a)Viva La Vida (the new single) is available on iTunes and imeem. Sadly, only cover versions are available on YouTube.
b)Violet Hill has two music videos.
1. This is the Violet Hill MV with dancing politicians. Honestly, I found it rather tacky and somewhat tasteless but it all has a very deep US political message which I found ridiculous, since Coldplay is British.
If you find that everything's too mundane, jump to the end where Chris Martin sings the last lines with the piano only. That is a masterpiece in itself.

Persecution in Malaysia

Calvin Martin, Chief Steward of Malaysian Airlines System (MAS) was sentenced to jail by the Malaysian authorities and now faces the possibility of being thrown out of job.
Why?
All because he went to Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia.
On their journey flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney and back to Kuala Lumpur, cabin crew members share details of their free time during the trip. Flight stewardess Nadiya Nordin was chatting with Calvin Martin and she asked how he spent his free time when they stopped by at Brisbane. Calvin then told Nadiya that he visited Hillsong Church. Nadiya was surprised that Calvin would spend his time at a church. Calvin then told him about his experience in Hillsong Church and how it was like attending a rock concert. Then Nadiya asked Calvin to let her have a look at Hillsong’s Welcome Pack. Calvin passed it to her as requested. But what happened next was a total shock.
When Calvin returned to Malaysia, he was put in jail for 24 hours without any valid reasons! Two days upon arrival, Calvin received a call from MAS requesting that he be at KLIA for questioning by MAS Security and police. He was shocked. On January 25 2008, he was questioned by MAS security personnel for two hours. At the end of the questioning, Calvin asked for a copy of his statement and they told him it was “lost”. How unbelievable!
After that, Calvin was questioned by the police Special Branch for another two hours. After that, the Crime Division of the Sepang District Police Department also questioned him. Police told him he was remanded under Section 298A of the Penal Code. Section 298A dealt with causing disharmony, disunity or feelings of enmity through racial or religious hate speech. He wondered why…
When Calvin asked why he was being remanded, they said that Calvin had preached Christianity to his Muslim colleagues on a MAS flight to Australia. He was never allowed to see the police report made against him until last month (April) during the MAS Domestic Inquiry.
Calvin has been a 17-year MAS veteran and has even got a letter of appreciation for his wonderful service from MAS Managing Director Idris Jala last July. But now he has been suspended since January 28 and have lost his bonus that he was supposed to receive for his outstanding performance.
When he saw the police report made against him, he was shocked to read that the allegations made against him were from MAS Leading Steward, Mohd Nasir Mohd Noor. In the report, Mohd Nasir alleges that Calvin had told Nadiya to stop embracing her Muslim faith, and had insulted Islam by making unwarranted comments about the Ka’abah.
What was shocking was that Mohd Nasir wasn’t even in the cabin with Calvin that time. Calvin was only talking to Nadiya and telling her about his experience and that was all. Calvin did not mention anything about Islam to Nadiya at all! Furthermore, it was not Nadiya who made the police report.
Calvin did not know where to find help. Those people who wanted to represent him at the Domestic Inquiry were harassed to drop his case! Pif!
Calvin continues to put his trust in the Lord. He believes that his visit to the Hillsong Church was not a coincidence at all.
That day, he was ready to go out shopping when he spilt his tea. As he hurriedly cleaned up, the door-bell of his hotel room rang. An oriental lady at the door insisted she was from room service and had come to check the mini bar. He thought it was odd for someone to turn up at 9.00am for this, especially when he was not checking out till evening. She kept insisting. Then all of a sudden she just said “all right” and left. It was strange for her to be insisting so strongly one minute and then just left the next minute. When he went downstairs, the shuttle bus had left. He then asked the receptionist if there were any churches nearby and was told that Hillsong being 20 minutes away. So he went to Hillsong church.
When remanded at the lock-up, policemen informed the five inmates in Calvin’s cell that he had insulted their religion. They were hard core criminals with scars all over their body. Surprisingly, they treated Calvin nicely. In the van on the way to court, Calvin tried to sit on the bench but a detective pushed him onto the floor. In court, Calvin was handcuffed to a migrant worker. There were about 30 detainees, some in shackles, and none of them had a lawyer. When Calvin’s turn came, he was surprised to see six lawyers representing him. He only called for only one! The magistrate was shocked and said, “This is not a trial you know.”
One of the lawyers replied, “Yes, if it were a trial, we would be here by the truckloads.” =)
Today, Calvin is still under the suspension from MAS. He has no allowances for a long period and it is taking a toll on Calvin’s finances. He lives in Seremban and travels regularly to the Sepang District Police Department to report his presence.

She speaks in a language that I don't speak. It's obviously mysterious but then again, why bother talking to the mysterious? Sometimes it just gets on my nerves but we all have to come to the realization that some of us are just....chemically imbalanced. I admit that I am chemically imbalanced myself.
Blue, blue, black and blue...you know what, I think it's very unfair to treat other people worse than how you would treat your close friends. Imagine if that person is some intelligent human being who was an indigo kid (google it up) and was shunned by the society. Gosh, that'd be utterly devastating.

By the way. I've never encountered any, but people who flame others through their blogs or chatboxes are just...totally chemically imbalanced (read: nutsy coockoo). What do I have to do to stop them from flaming the people I love? Make a "LEAVE *insert name here* ALONE!" video?

On another note...English 120 requires us to group up for a research paper. Research paper. Exciting, no? Unfortunately, as much as my brains are exploding with ideas for the research paper I cannot get started on it (due August) until and unless I get someone to partner with. These are the ideas:

Commercialism
"Sustainable Development"
Pah! Sustainable development my *insert obscene word here*. As if that will ever happen in this century. Everyone's too absorbed in their own little iPod and podcast-chasing society to develop sustainably.

Obviously it's going to be auctioned off for some greater good/cause.

scars
Ok...preparing to go for class in the morning...
Reaching to switch off the light quite hurriedly, my left palm scraped the blunt but still sharp edge of the ladder. Small gash, blood appearing slowly.
*tissue* *plaster* *go back to ladder*
Hey, whaddayaknow? The slice of palm skin is still hanging on the ladder!
"Hey, little buddy! Well, didn't you go through an adventure? Well, thanks for being on my palm for the last decade or so. We'll miss you! Take care man!"
*flings thin piece of skin off the ladder*

On another note, my lip skin has been shedding like crazy lately! Nevermind the amount of water I put over my lips every minute, and the lip balm-nothing's stopping the skin from cracking and peeling off.
The lips are also bleeding. Susah betul lah, tak boleh makan asam laksa without wincing.
Maybe I should stop peeling the skin. Oh well!
It's time for the skin to shed and allow another layer to form.

First of all, WHAT KIND OF SONG IS THAT. Even the nonsensical Umbrella makes more sense than that. Seriously.
It's so ridiculous and utterly obscene! Who in their right mind would make love in a club? Are they sick? Unless it's a clubhouse lah, but even that is so wrong.

The 10th anniversary rally held by ISCF will be happening at Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran, and yes, it will be an OPEN-AIR RALLY. Can you say Xlive? Haha.
In the previous years, there was only one band performing, but this year there will be FOUR. Yes, count that, EMPAT. One will be made up of students in any school of 2008 and the other three will be of ex-students who performed at previous rallies.
So there will be granpas and granmas. Just kidding, they'll be college students and young adults.
Sounds like a music festival yet?

Well, good, it's not supposed to be.
By the way: No tickets required. See, there's absolutely no charge for entrance. And if you DO want to spend money there, may I suggest the rally tee?

"Revival is when the prisons are empty, police lose their jobs and lawyers have nothing to do."
Last Sunday was Mother's Day, and Pastor Henry spoke to us from PJ through the live telecast.
"If Sundays belong to the Lord, the other six days belong to who?" he said. He was talking about women who married non-Christians who don't go to church.
Some women go to church on Sunday morning while their husbands sleep at home, but Pastor Henry was trying to tell them that it's no use for the women to come to church, because "God can do without you, but your husband can't!" to the laughter of the congregation.
It's so hilarious when he says it, but doesn't sound as funny in pixels...
Afterwards around tea-time, GHM had a Mother's Day celebration. There were games, songs, the likes. For crafts, the kids made DONUTS for their mums. How Big Apple (read: sweet) is that? Haha that was a lame joke.
