Iona

Arina and Atikah met us around 2pm as we bumped into Zlwin, who was performing magic tricks at the Barsonic tent. Just a few feet away was Su Ling at the KLUE booth. My cousin and my sister traipsed around KLPac as my other cousin and I traipsed the other half of the grounds, she being the ever ready model.

If I had a dollar every time I saw someone with a DSLR/Lomocam hanging around their neck at Urbanscapes...

Nah just kidding. We have forgiven you dear xD

Off The Call to Adventure, zlwin.com

Being a true follower of Jesus will not guarantee you trouble-free and will not guarantee that your life will be a bed of flowers. Many pastors and evangelists give the call of salvation with sweet baits such as, “When you receive Jesus, he will clear all your problems and your life will change.” “Jesus will help you with all your trouble and will make sure you have none.” Although there are truths in those sentences and many alike, that is not the real message that Jesus gave to us. His real message is hard to swallow and until today many Christians still do not know what it takes to be a true follower of Jesus.

Jesus’ call is one that asks us to deny ourselves, to rid ourselves off our selfish desires, wanting and ambitions. It is a call for us to reach out and get the desires of God. Jesus’ call is one call that guarantees nothing but trouble and hardship, and also an eternal life in heaven. Jesus’ call is one that bids us come and die that we may truly live in Christ.

wet and windy wednesday

Please stop messing with my head. SCROOOO YOU MAAAAAN. If cars ran on water I wouldn't mind.

There was once a girl I knew for barely a month. She is a very sweet person, and being around her was a delight. Her attitude is that of a quirky writer who had no other personalities but a cheerful one. She is a typical lady-plays the piano extensively, walks slowly and lady-like and bakes in her spare time.

*

HUAAAH.
exhaling all anger and bitterness.

and this is for you. off camesawconcurred

You know what would do us all some good?
Deep fried Mars bars. Now THAT'S what I'm talking bout.

there's a niche market of heavy metal/rock bands doing covers of pop songs

A Static Lullaby (heavy metal band) took a spin on Britney's Toxic and this guy lip syncs to that cover.
I must say, this cover is awesome. And it's hard for me to call something awesome.
The guy on the bottom left corner is stoned xD

I found the following video on Iona's blog.
VocaPeople is an Israeli acapella group.
The latex on their faces looks like a gimmick.
Their singing is awesome though.

While we're at it, check out Nintendo's choir.
The Super Mario theme is so cute!

And you won't believe how many straight faced people are singing Spider Pig (from The Simpsons Movie) in a choir and uploading the video to YouTube.

"some dance to remember, some dance to forget"

Thump, thump, thump thump. My footsteps echoed my hearbeat as I ran across the field to the starting point. All I could hear were my breaths-which made me realise how unhealthy I was, panting after just 1 minute of running. Small orange pellets littered the grassy ground.

There was only the six of us in that 2 acre field =)

Alan, Sam, Emily, Elisabeth, Iona and I walked to Bukit Jalil LRT station from XTion Paintball when we were done resting-a mere 10 minutes walk, which we forsook for a 40 minute joyride on a bus while looking for the place.

Back at Iona's, it was nearing 4am. Daryl and Mathew were hunched over a toilet bowl as Samantha helped me in the kitchen to make some lemon juice to sober them up. One lemon was not enough. Honey and sugar water do not help.

Iona was in the living room, accepting all alcohol from her sister's friends to save the two guys from more barfing. That girl can drink O.O

Sam and I left the house at 4.30 to buy some mamak grub. Daryl (persumbly under the influence) handed me his Kelisa keys.

It was 5.30am now. The guys were chilling (or probably blacked out) on the couch. The guests used them as props for pics.

You should see how Iona tagged this in FB. it's a "group" picture. HAHA

this is Saturday Fluff!

There are times when I feel like we all talk too much and do too little. Not in big actions like "bringing change" and all that, I mean by just the normal day-to-day conversation.

Sometimes there is no need at all to speak because what you seek cannot be found by words.

Other times we feel there is a tendency to speak just because we need to let the people around us know that we are there, that we have something to say just for the sake of it.

Jolene and Aimee blogged about being beautiful.

This topic has been bashed over and over again by different parties: beauty is inside, blah blah blah, pretty people are vain, blah blah blah, there's no ugly girls only lazy girls, blah blah BLAH.

I believe that ugly girls have at least one advantage over the pretty ones: guys who approach them do not do so solely because of the girls' looks, but finds that her personality shines forth brighter than her looks.

FINE so I'm comforting myself. Sheesh, give the uglies an opportunity to comfort themselves laa. See, pretty people are so mean :( and i'm too paranoid for my own good? PAH!

*

IMHO though, puberty is an awful stage. I was the ugliest at my puberty. Don't believe me? Go FB and look at the AWEful pics. (Whoever put those online deserves to...not eat ice cream for a year!)

After puberty, everything seems fine. Even more so when we crawl out of the MALU-fying school uniforms. Seriously, I believe that school uniforms were created to make teens think that they have no self esteem. Or to discourage teenage dating. Whichever sounds worse.

Boys, oh boys have it easy. They play sports all day. No need to jaga appearance.

Terrorists are people on the road with rage.

They instill terror into others.
The only agenda they want to propagate is one of authority on the road.
They do so because they believe the highways belong to their grandfathers.
They need an audience to fulfill their rage and anger fuelled purposes.

Most of these road rage people drive in Toyota Hilux and Myvis.
*kicks the said car models*

Eh, but sometimes motorcyclists also do that. Most dangerous motorcyclists look like gangsters and work as debt collectors/poster stickers for loan sharks.

freestyle fridays

Item 1
Stuff that make me cringe when I read/hear of it:
Taylor Swift
Twilight
Lenka (eeeee)
Right Round
Secondhand Serenade

And, the Indie scene. You know, the home made buttons, worn out canvas shoes, living-life-like-a-painter thing. It's supposed to be INDIE right? As in INDEPENDENT? So why does it sound MAINSTREAM now?

Item 2
Blogger shall be busy in real life for the next two weeks or till 20th June, whichever ends first.

Item 3
Blogger is broke. LOL

Item 4
Movies to watch:

glass of water

I is currently reading

Heh heh make me look smart leh?

I thought I was going to have a bad day today :(

the universe is conspiring against me! Oh noes D: *throws drama queen fit*
But only we ourselves have the power to make a day happy/bad. :DD

So after remembering what i read in The Alchemist, I went on to eat my favorite lunch, nasi campur mamak with deep fried bitter gourd oh so fattening which only cost RM 3.80 (cheap by my standard. RM 3.90 would be pushing it) and completed a few pages of music assignment at home.
*victory dance*

Ah, i am easily amused.
:B
Oh, and class was cancelled xD

thank you google images

PS: of course, the secret to our own happiness has already been in the bible for the longest time ever, just that people refuse to credit it so as to believe that they themselves have "created" the power of the universe conspiring to help them in all that they want.
however, i believe that paulo coelho knows about this. rhonda, on the other hand...

now this

Six months.
SIX LOVE FILLED, COMFORTING MONTHS.

And then this.

I still can't believe it.

I feel so betrayed.

I took very good care of you.

In the end,

IT'S NOT ME. IT'S THE THIRD PARTY.

My damage is small. It's repairable. But my life...my record...it's my HISTORY now.

For SIX MONTHS, no STATIONARY/MOVING object TOUCHED the car when I drove.

SIX MONTHS. Some people can't wait six minutes.
I'm still an excellent driver.

Three days short of celebrating my sixth month with a "P" license, I met with an accident.
IT'S NOT MY FAULT.

I'M NOT IN DENIAL.
ASK MY MUM.

There is practically no damage at all, thank God! Just the mirror. It looks like someone gave up on a decapitation job halfway through.

Signing off,

NOT. MY. FAULT. ASK. MY. MUM. AND. THE. PASSENGERS. I. WAS. DRIVING.

PS: Oh gosh. Jue Lyn just told me to drive safe earlier today! the first person ever to wish me so. lol. strange....
