Meet my friend, Mary. She likes to call for help through Facebook status updates. Sometimes nobody hears her. I hope she won't use FB as a platform for life or death situations, because not everyone's going to be on it 24/7 waiting for her life updates.
Mary, I think you need to read more of the Bible. Now, before you point that finger at me and say stuff I don't need to hear, I haven't been reading as often, either. That's why I think you should read it. Lately, my days without it are sucky, to say the least. So yes, Mary, DO read the bible and know that the world doesn't revolve around you. The world doesn't revolve around me, either. So let's just grow up and mature a little bit as we age. We have potential to be wise and civic minded and not so emotionally volatile. Sometimes I think it is the company you hang out with, Mary, that makes you overly sensitive to things. Are you listening, Mary?
"Let your compassion quickly meet our needs,
for we are on the brink of despair.
Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name."
Psalm 79:8,9
*I don't have any friends named Mary. But Marys exist. If you know what I mean.

Nice anot this header? I make wan :D Just needed to destress before hitting the books. Tonight, I have to read up on Illiad and Odessey. We watched Troy as part of our curricular today. You'd think, with Brad Pitt and all the laughs we had, that we were watching a romantic comedy movie. That Helen's a troublemaker, BTW.

updates and crafties
Jasper, Su Ling, B and Sis Kim at The Den. Coolest study hangout.)
Le Laptop is currently under repair. I am blogging from an alternate source.
Here's simple maths for you to do: 5 subjects X 2 assignments each = ?
Happy vday. If no one loves you, I guess I have to. LOL. You know what would be an awesome valentine's day flower to give? Rafflesia. That thing is so huge and smelly and hard-to-get, it's probably more rare than roses and tulips. "If you really love me, you would get that for me!"
we're all really thinking about lunch
Some recent craft stuff. I like to make people happy! Especially with the simplest of things.
I finished my black label ribbon. Can't remember where I put the extra roll.

Quote of the week
"Everyone of us has had experiences which we have not been able to explain: a sudden sense of loneliness, or a feeling of wonder or awe in the face of universal vastness. Or we have had a fleeting visitation of light like an illumination from some other sun, giving us in a quick flash an assurance that we are from another world, that our origins are divine."

adele - someone like you
This song has style and substance. Happy Holidays, all!
"You know how
The time flies
Only yesterday
It was the time of our lives
We were born and raised
In a summer haze
Bound by the surprise
Of our glory days"

everything is magnified
(anthropologie)
A blog is not a blog if you keep it private ;)

Like it or not, people will start to take you more seriously. You will have more influence over their lives. But always remember to stay humble. There's nothing more sad than an ego-driven character.
*
There are three things that I like to do the most:
Draw
Write
Read
*
These are the three main criteria I look for in a guy:
Intelligence
Humor
Charisma (interchangeable with good looks)
But I don't fawn over it obsessively. And neither should you. Fawning over such volatile and time-sensitive stuff, have I thought you nothing?!?

French-inspired party. Superlike.
*
Mom discovered a bunch of rolled up lace she used to use as belts over long tees! They smell nice and look vintage. Superlike.
*
they're like oh have a week off, relax, and then read these seven hundred books while you're at it
