Don't go on a diet before you turn, at the very least, 19. That's because at any age earlier than that, you need lots of calories and nutrients to grow.

A human body does not fully develop until it reaches the early adulthood. Going on a diet means depriving the body of nutrients before that age will stunt the bodily growth.
There will be lots of time to diet when one grows up.
