no country

It was movie night yesterday. Mum bought a few VCDs at a cheap price. They weren't pirated by the way. We find piracy an insult against the creative arts industry and believe that creativity deserves to be accredited and acknowledged. Also, pirated DVD quality is startlingly horrible nowadays.

Anyway, one of the VCDs was the Oscar-winning No Country For Old Men. I find horror movies not scary and laughable, almost a waste of money, in fact - but this movie has the ability to make me grit my teeth and sit at the edge of the seat. Phew!

The acting was very well done. And the ending is just so gah! If you think Sepet was open ended, well, this might be the same.

I think we're watching Flashdance tonight.
