thought two

Photobucket

After stumbling on "climate refugees" in the newspaper today, I remembered that the word refugee used to mean something else.

Climate refugee or environmental refugee is probably the one word we wish we never heard in our lifetime. Or ever hear.

People all over the world in different continents are being displaced from their homes because of changing environmental conditions, such as drastic droughts, flooded villages and disasterous earthquakes.

Why?

Because of the increasingly shocking damages we are doing to the earth. What one man does on this end of the world affects the other man at the other end.

We drive when we can walk.
We waste when we should save.
We say "go green" but never take the effort to do so ourselves.

And worst of all, we say it is not our fault.
Stop denying!
It's time to intensify reduce, reuse, refuse and recycle.
