"i fell asleep under the flowers for a couple of hours on a beautiful day"

Daydream is a 1968 song, first performed by Wallace Collection. I find the remake of the song by Lupe Fiasco to be refreshing, albeit a little bit typical (as in *rap* sing chorus *rap* sing chorus *here's the rap in the bridge where the rapper makes a statement* chorus end).

Jill Scott provides backup. (the singer at Delucca (Denise Mininfield sang Scott's The Way, which explains why her name sounded so familiar)

There's also a cover by the Gunter Kallmann Chorus, which appears to be more popular. It is used in Lupe's version and many other covers use the chorus' version as the sample as well.
This might be due to the easy listening style of the Chorus' take on Daydream.

Why am I talking so formally.
