"We are dreaming about Lhuna"

Review on Coldplay and Kylie Minouge's collaboration on Lhuna.

The first listen would be a strange experience-kind of a delirium-asylum-song-thing 'cos you don't know where the beat starts and where it ends. Think Massive Attack's Teardrop (House MD theme song)

It was hard to decipher the count in this song-until Kylie starts to sing. You'll start to feel scared when Chris starts singing-he sounds stoned. VERY stoned. Me no like that. =(

The chorus is dreamy and easy to remember. Haunting, melodramatic, emo-anymore adjectives to describe this melancholic song?

Lhuna is ok-ok la...i'll like it if they have an MV.

Alright, about the music video. My ideas for the directors are

Floria Sigsimondi (The White Stripes' Blue Orchid, Muse's Supermassive Black Hole, Aguilera's Hurt, Incubus' Megalomaniac, etc) or

Sophie Muller (Leona Lewis' Better in Time, The Ting Ting's That's Not My Name, Mika's Grace Kelly, Gwen Stefani's Wind It Up, Coldplay's Fix You, etc)

Just LOOK at their accomplishments. Chicks rule.

So anyway yeah the MV-it'll be black and white. Dark enclosed room in a mansion. And there's lots of mental patients on the loose, all looking for the mysterious Lhuna. They push each other for space in the small room-emphasize the claustrophobia here-and they break free out of the room in the chorus.

Now, in the big mansion, they roam all over-the hall, the kitchen and the garden-and it will be revealed that the moon (Luna) is full and glowing, imperiously smiling upon the patients who searched for her all this time.

Mission accomplished, they bask under the moonlight and the stars for the rest of the song, sometimes dancing, sometimes climbing over a hedge or something. Ooh, make the garden a labyrinth!

The props and the costumes would be elaborate with slight gothic influence.

Macam tu lah.

Aaah. I'm not quite sure what to think of this yet. Mainly because, now that I can finally watch videos, I discover that this ancient contraption of mine has no speakers. *bangs head on desk*

But eyyyy hows abouts those SEVEN Grammy nominations for Viva La Vida eh?? Eh? I hate the Grammies, but I can't help feeling proud of ze boys. And now that I've heard the entire album I must say my favourite track off VLV is Life In Technicolour. It's just so..so...soo.....kickass.

D: Oh noes! Ah you can listen to it when the speakers come home.

Seven? That's a lot. Like, six more than the Jonases. Haha. So you don't abhor Viva La Vida like the majority of the fans? Life in Technicolor! The Asian Food Channel theme song. Yeah, the drums in that song is kickass maaan.
