big blank

Oh cousin!

I know your birthday is on November the 24th, but I cannot hold it in any longer! I apologise for purchasing such an unimaginative birthday present! It wasn't my fault, the salesman in Body Shop was staring straight into my face with such vigour and eerieness that I was afraid if I did not give in, I'd lose out on the 100 dollars from MTV's Boiling Point, because he was being terribaly unprofessional at treating me, the teenaged customer who looks like an unsuspecting victim who is glued to MTV 24/7!

Joking bout the last part. ANYHOO!

Oh. And Jaya One...

Totally rocks my socks.

Wednesday: What an interesting day.

Awake at the break of dawn to meet Rachel and Iona, and we were off to Wee Han's in Janelle's car (do you call it a car if it looks like an MPV?)

We made food and laughed, but not together at the same time as it'd be unhygenic.

The food was then transported to college, where everyone was running around like headless (insert bird name here) for quite a while.

The opening of Blackout Bistro was done quite well, job well done to everyone who's feeling legarthic by now. Gambateh because we all need more energy and enthusiasm for this Friday, and I need inspiration for the article on the opening as well.

Oh. I miss everyone suddenly. =/

Gimme a hug!

"Yatta Star World"

They seriously got to stop posing like that. It's kind of agitating.

Guess who won tickets to Heroes Season Three Premiere?!
Thank You Jesus! Thank You for listening to my prayer and blessing me with the tickets. ^^,

woot

Stomach ache.
Head ache.
Body ache.
Dizziness.
Fever.
Extreme dizziness.

Today I went through all of that. >.<
Still having the dizziness. I cut two whole oranges to make orange juice which is supposed to be good for you but ended up having my body temperature soaring afterwards. Because I drank it with teddy-bear shaped chocolate chip cookies. =(

Had a Cool Patch on that gave me a migraine instead of cooling off the fever.

Was at the verge of vomitting a couple of times today-started off with vertigo at church. Ooch. Just when pastor started to pray for us, telling us to give our unexpected and sudden storms to Jesus, that wave of sickness just came over. >.<

NO I AM NOT PREGNANT.

Coldplay's Lost! ft. Jay-Z (oh noes a remix)

Jay-Z is better off paired with the ladies. Rihanna, Beyonce, Britney, for goodness sake!-just, don't collaborate with groups anymore.
Especially if they're Linkin Park or Coldplay.

Look at what they've done to Lost! !

Granted, the rapping didn't last up to one minute but oh, did they butcher this song or what! The rapping could've been better, but this is just baaa-aaad.
And I'm not saying it's bad cos Jay-Z whacked up LP in Collision Course (and that was baaa-aaad) but I'm saying it 'cos Lost! was already a good song in its own that needed no more changes or addition!

(As you can see I am in my angry fangirl mode)

If they needed a collaborator, Coldplay should've just asked Kanye West to help them. He's much more versatile and has more relevance to Coldplay (because they're both strange) than Jay-Z.
Granted, Beach Chairs did rock my socks.

On Lost!-check out the lyrics-

With the same sword they knight you, they gon' good night you with

there, Jay-Z raps about success and the troubles that lay in wait for those who have it. Tried and tested formula, but it doesn't fit the original tone of Lost!, which IMHO is about "finding oneself, being humble in the process, etc". He uses the word suicide repeatedly as if by doing so, he'd make this song an alternative clubbing anthem, which spells more commercial success for Coldplay.

So, the question now is, has Coldplay jumped the shark?

why...?

...am I the only one excited over Rachel and Mathew's cover of Lucky for
Bloody Hell?!

Buy a ticket people ;)

MPH Warehouse Clearance sale+Clothes sale

Went there again today. The place was superbly crowded because there was another warehouse clearance sale across MPH-this one is from Zara, Massimo Dutti and Pull and Bear (the clubbing gear brand) at Dataran Hamodal. NUTS I tell you. Triple parking like you've never seen.

This is the amount of books in two trips...(which is quite acceptable-considering the fact that the books' prices are SLASHED. Seriously. I could've bought more.)

I reccomend this book to buy...

RM20 for a bookful of strangers secrets, this is a bargain. Plus, it's the hard copy and hard cover version of selected secrets from the pop-culture ish PostSecret lah!

Yes, they also had Little Miss and Little Mr. books. The ones that inspired those mass produced Little Miss clothes. One will cost you RM 4 or 6.

Also, if you're planning to go there, do your friends a favor and save them the trouble, horror and hassle of looking for a parking space by buying them the books they would like. Save the environment, save petrol, save $$.

Iona wanted...

...And these were for Khadi, each going for RM 20-

Here are some tips while going for warehouse clearances:
1. Wear comfortable shoes
2. Wear breathable clothes
3. Carpool-go with lots of friends in one car. Easier to park one car than to look for three empty spaces.
4. Be a dear and ask friends who are not going if they'd like anything from there.
5. Bring some water to keep yourself hydrated. Water balloons reccommended.
6. BE NICE. Don't push, don't shove, don't step on people's feet.

You should take hold of these kinda warehouse clearnace stuff because:
1. It's rare.
2. Prices are slashed up to 80%, maybe even more.
3. It's Malaysian culture.
4. Save money.
5. Support the economy.
6. More value for your ringgit!

But DON'T overspend. Ask yourself if you REALLY need it, or you just WANT it.

A want is not a necessity.

Like these really funky purple Massimo Dutti flats going for RM60-I want them, but I didn't need them, so no thanks.

You can resist temptation! Just say NO to the items you don't need.

Note: There are Zara/Massimo Dutti heels in sizes 8 or 9 and above on sale there, so if any of you girls who have slightly big feet want some branded but cheaper than usual shoes, Dataran Hamodal is the place to be.

Note: Both warehouses are located opposite one another at Section 13/4. Shopaholics beware!

kick

I don't get to eat this.
Dreading work.
12-hour shifts.
Long nights.
Longer meetings.
Only one break in 12 hours to eat.
O.o
Non-customers sitting at the smoking area.
Perverts from the surrounding shops.
The only person my age is...well, me.
I'm not a guy, i'm a girl! I need to rest, i need to feel secure!
GRRRRR

I love my job, but...

...Why can't i just rot at home?!
*whine whine complain complain*
Just thinking about the workload there makes me anxious, worried and depressed.
God help me.

in two days...

Subang Parade

So the two girls and I had a plan to meet up at McDonalds (cos they have free refills xD jakun i know), which changed to my house and then Iona got a call from DB telling her to go for an interview at 4 at SP.

Of course, the only sensible thing to do would be to follow her all the way down there to have quality time together, no?

We came back in the evening and stayed at Iona's house till late.

MPH Warehouse Clearance Sale, Section 13/4

The place is right next to BluInc's hq. How could my mum and I missed it? We ended up driving till a Section 51 (kakaka) and got bullied by roadies. Sniffles. Meanies! I will hunt you down~

The place was packed. As expected. Books were on sale everywhere, not categorized, so you'll find a Peter Drucker book next to The Chronicles of Narnia, all next to P.S. I Love You (which is going for RM 20, what a steal).

Argubly the best bargain is the seven books of Narnia going for RM 15. Woot.

Jaya One

I am such a fangirl. Mum bought me here after I gushed about it to her (^^) and the place did not let us down.

Anyway, I think we passed by Jue Lyn's church too-DUMC. Hrm. Still figuring out how to go there this Sunday. >.<

Marley & Me

My sister had this book with her for quite a while already. The day before my finals, I borrowed it to read it. Marley and Me soon became one of my favourite books.

Marley and Me is basically about a couple who were deeply in love, they got married and decided to get a dog. A puppy dog they christened Marley, this Labrador Retriever is one heckuva firecracker that added spice to their life and saw the couple go through many experiences together.

I read this book in three days. It is simple in its language, easy to understand yet each page seems to be very meaningful and thoughful. The editing is great! =D

When I reached the last page, I felt sad-not because it had a sucky ending, not because I didn't understand some things-but because there weren't anymore pages to read. Silly, I know, but when you read it, you'll feel the same way too.

So you can guess I was ecstatic when my sister called me out of the room today when E! News had a short snippet of the SCREEN ADAPTATION for Marley & Me.

Owen Wilson will play John, and Jenny will be played by Jennifer Aniston. Oh, it is nice to see Rachel get a job out of Friends. LOL. They are the picture that I had in my mind for John and Jenny-perfect to the t.

Can't wait for it to hit our shores!

Hmm...Glenn Miller. I just found out he sang Perfidia. Yesterday. Googled some lyrics I heard on Lite FM cos they seemed familiar.

Sushi
Place: Sushi King, Tesco Klang
People: Caleb, E-Foong, Rachel, Janelle, Iona, me.
Picture: Sony Ericsson Cybershot K550i

The line outside Sushi King was horredously long. The wait was worth it though. Everything, even the tempura sushi was going for RM2 specially for SK card holders. The prawn decreased in size though-_-

Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka
Place: Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka

The whole shopping center is very humble in its architecture. The Malay influence all over the building is unique, a breath of fresh air from the futuristic glass-styled shopping malls in KL. Earth-toned DP is also soft on the eyes.

Places

The following list is of shoppping places I'd like to visit.

Niu Ze Xui in Ara Damansara (Chinatown, Petaling Street)
Seriously, who came up with that great idea of a three-syllable Chinese name for this outdoorsy shopping complex? Smart lah. I doubt Khadi can pronounce it. Granted, it is modelled after the same place in Singapore with the same name, and the name means Cow in the Water which is supposed to bring luck, but it will be HARD for non-Chinese people to pronounce and remember.

(both pictures were googled)

Jaya One, Section 13

I've been blabbing about this place to anyone who would listen. Apparently, the founder of Jaya One, I read, is this yuppie in his early thirties. Amazing how he can build this thing from scratch. And yes, the Starbucks here is the 100th outlet in Malaysia, and Bus Company performed at the launch. Refer to my archive.

Pavilion KL
This sounds like a very interesting place to go. Yes, I am the only person who has yet to step foot upon this mall. It sounds like a newer KLCC, but I still believe KLCC has more to offer. Wanna know why? Scroll down.

KLCC
Harrods is opening in KLCC! Ok wait I just found out there's a Harrods in KLIA. -_- lol. Anyway, if you guys don't know, Harrods is a world-famous upscale departmental store originating from London. Go wiki.

Also...a GODIVA chocolate outlet! At KLCC! BELGIUM CHOCOLATE! I think you guys will remember Godiva from Mr. Victor's Marketing 113.

I read somewhere 100g of their chocolates cost RM56. Of course you wouldn't want to eat such expensive chocolate-maybe just walk by the shop, push your nose up the glass to see the inside...lol.

Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka
Yeah I've been here once but the field in the middle of this place is so inviting I can't help but daydream about jumping on it! Below the field is the basement, which is not the parking lots but shops!
Behind the field (or in front) is a don't-know-how-many storey building of DP, all shops and stuff to walk in after jumping on the field.
picture from freedomstroller.blogspot.com

Hopefully you guys would be inspired to stretch your legs to walk around after reading this. Exercise! It's good for your health. This message was brought to you by your body.

Kokokaina

KLUE magazine did a special on 20 Malaysians under 40 for their September issue. Normally I don't buy KLUE. At the end of September, though, I bought it: I know, buying a magazine at the end of the month? What was she thinking?!

The special segment had lots of Malaysians under 40 who were changing the country, as teensy bit as it may be. Tan Hong Ming and Umi Qazrina, the two primary schoolkids from Yasmin Ahmad's Petronas commercial for last year's Merdeka were among the featured. ^^, those two are kewt. Hujan was featured, so was Kenny Sia. Zain HD! That's one guy worth writing about. (He was the brains behind KL Freeze.)

Anyhoo, the first of the 20 young people selected was this young girl of 22, Zee. Her name on YouTube is KoKoKaina, and she recently got signed to Brushfire Records in Los Angeles. I know what you're thinking: oh no, another Marie Digby!

Rest assured, she sounds NOTHING like Marie. Even better than her, I can say.
Check out her cover of
Summertime. (embedding was disabled)

The following video is a duet she did. The title of the song is Tonight You Belong To Me. I can't help replaying it over and over again! It's like Lucky, but oh so better than that.

This blogger is perfectly capable of driving a manual car on the roads.

Holidays are here but i've got stuff lining up my calender like first i've got to renew my learner's license (yes the big L) in order to qualify to take the road exam, because the last time i went, which was my first too, queer isn't it, i failed cos apparently i was "speeding" or something along the lines of lewis hamilton (gosh he's hot) but whatever i still think it was because i didn't pay the duit kopi YES PEOPLE READ THAT I DIDN'T PAY THE DUIT KOPI SO I FAILED BOO HOO too bad so anyway yeah that's the first line up on my calender, go renew the license (cos it EXPIRED on me, how can it EXPIRE on me) and then take the driving test AGAIN, hello six hour waiting time, sheesh, someone can give birth in six hours you know that.

Second on my to-do list this two and a half months is to earn a meager living to support my education since i've got no sponsors for free college textbooks for the next four years and you know college textbooks are twice thicker than high school textbooks and four times more expensive, however this does not mean that all college textbooks are useful, so anyways, as i was saying, getting a job will not be that much of a problem, i mean people were already jumping on random wagons to shopping complexes to look for the sign that reads "vacancies, enquire within" but i can safely brag that i don't have to, since my previous employer had asked a few weeks back if i'd like to work part time again, but i am having second thoughts as the job is seriously stressful and tiring, since i rarely get weekends off and have to stand for long hours but hey who said money comes easy?

To Wai How, Joy Ling and the organizers of last night's BBQ/Steamboat/Karaoke party, i offer my sincerest apologies and a nice e-fruit basket to say sorry i wandered off in the middle of the party, because i really didn't mean to and it would've been so much fun to stay back and watch the games and gossip with the girls and all so you can guess i've been very dash-underscore-dash about this (-_-) but hey what's done is done and i'll be seeing you all at aeon one time or another gosh i'm missing college already.

So where did i go off to, well iona got a call from khadijah who sounded very excited as if she just got her hands on this rare, expensive and thus special thing called arina and as iona and i discovered after wandering at the deserted aeon at 10 in the night and getting starbucks out of a whim which evidently was too rough and sweet for me to handle that time of a night i mean, caramel hot chocolate, woman what were you thinking, was an exact mirror image slash copy slash clone of khadi yes i think she resembles khadi more than she resembles iona, nevermind the fact that she is an arina of her own so yeah anyways we went to modern at 11 or so cos someone got lost and we sat there, met bawanie and sister kim and kept laughing and laughing till midnight when it was decided that everyone disperse immediately and i came home pooped and i wondered the whole night till now why am i so stressed about this holidays as in is this real stress or stress cos it's not real or whatever coconut monkey jelly tornado banana rock.

I sincerely hope you did not read through the horribly edited post. ramble mood. horrible editing! *shakes head*

Rolling in greens and rolling greens-quotes that define the state of a mind that is lost.

USMart Tees still for sale! Enquire for details. *wink*

"I don't have a baby yet, but when I do, you'll be the first to know,"

"Did you hear that? I'LL be the FIRST to KNOW!"

"Frogs! Purple elephant shaped balloons flying in the air..."

"Hey, hey, look! I can stand a giraffe on my face,"-Orked, Sepet. (That's why I've always (and still do) want a stuffed giraffe toy. xD I can't help it!)

"Mmmmm....DOH-nuts,"

(shyly) "ro.....ti....ca....na...i.....sa.....tu....."

(sound of marbles hitting the Form Five classroom floor) "WHOSE WAAAANNN?!!!!"

Instant. Fried. Noodles.

Food is a daily occurance in my life. I see it day in day out. It goes into my digestive system without fail everytime.

I eat more often, almost once in three hours even, during two occasions only: when it's the time of the month (you need to burn calories to compensate for all the shedded bl-I mean, uterine wall cells) and when it's the exam season. Sometimes I like to eat when I'm in love, too, but that doesn't happen too often. Oh, and I tend to overeat when I'm happy and ecstatic for no reason. Of course I eat when I'm sad and depressed, like most girls do. Phew! That's more than two occasions. LOL.

Food is such a comfort when you can't seem to do anything when a problem hits you straight in the face.

I just got off the phone for the first time in two hours. My ears are numb. My friend told me a whole host of things I WISHED i didn't hear, but uh, apparently there's this unwritten rule among girls that you're supposed to tell your girlfriends the important stuff that happen to you when they're not with you, regardless of whether or not the listening party is wants to hear. I must've missed that memo. It strengthens the female bond or something like that, something that's biochemistry-related that I REALLY don't want to know.

(masak-masak.blogspot.com)

Anyway. Stomach called for a supper snack, so I cooked a Maggi Goreng. Seriously, this stuff is addictive! Try IndoMee's mee goreng first. That one beats Maggi hands down. It's a taste of what real instant fried noodles should taste like. Remember the brand, INDO MEE!!!

We were out of IndoMee and someone ter-brought Maggi, so yeah. Substitutes work anyway.

Don't order from mamak! They add in all those foreign substances that add more calories. (!) Cook a simple, naked one. Nyummier! (No picture of one like that, so the one above will do xD)

Mmm...food. Weight watching be darned!

Really, who cares about how much you weigh when that delectable national delicacy is spread out in front of you, soaked in delicious black sauce and tiny chilli flakes?

You know what, I'm linking up masak-masak. The pictures and reviews are drool worthy! I mean, look at this picture of roti jala from the SS8 Ramadan bazaar post!

Have you ever seen this kinda stuff before?!

So...anyone wanna go mamak now? =P

update cos i'm online

These are just movies which I've reminded myself to watch after the finals...

The House Bunny
(Yeah yeah it's fluff. Can't a girl enjoy fluff once in a while? Guys are always watching Fast and Furious, after all.)

Yasmin Ahmad's Talentime
(no picture)

Yasmin Ahmad's Muallaf

(anyone know when this is going to come out? They wrapped up production like last year!)

The Darjeeling Limited
(two words: Adrien Brody!)

Once
(The indie musical that won hearts and awards)

Juno
(so I haven't seen this. Sue me!)

Anyone else planning to watch other movies?

Back to my beautiful books.

What does it smell like?

I think it smells like a warm pastry that just came out of the oven.

Cinnamon roll.

The rolled up kind, rising due to the heat in the oven-maybe flavoured with some brown sugar in the middle, and lots of cinnamon dust.

Raisins topping the roll, the sweetness of it seeping into the soft, white bun.

Biting into the cinnamon roll-a small taste of ecstacy.
The whiff of cinnamon smells rusticly delicious, and the feeling of the soft warm bread in your mouth is comforting.

What am I talking about? Insanity? Or something else...hmm. It's something we'll never know.
Mamma Mia soundtrack is on loop in my brain. So if I break out into a song in the middle of the finals paper, you know why. =X

If you want to study...go offline.

OL 110's Chapter 5 notes.

I did not copy and paste, it is my own interpretation. It does not include the thing about franchise and how-to-succeed-if-you-have-a-small-business thing. Remember that an essay question is coming out from this chapter.

What is a small business (SB)?
In the United States, a small business in the manufacturing industry has less than 500 employess. Businesses can earn up to US$6 million per year and be considered a small business. However, in the agricultural industry, you can only earn below US$ 750,000 per year.

Among the contributions of small businesses to the economy are...
1. Creating new jobs.

Did you know that in the US, 3 out of 4 new jobs which are created every year are by companies with less than 500 employees?
Small businesses are also known to hire welfare receipients as workers, thus lowering the unemployment rate. Besides that, most SBs are located at less developed areas of the town, where the unemployment rate is high.

2. Creating new industries.
Google, Yahoo! and Dell all started as small businesses. When these grew bigger, they created a whole new industry on its own.
Most SBs are started to adapt to consumer shifts in preferences, etc. They exist because a need or want for it does.

3. Innovation
Generally, SBs tend to develop better and newer goods and servicescompared to large businesses.

Why SBs fail
1. Management Shortcomings
Large firms are able to recruit specialists in many departments while small businesses do not have the capability to do so. So, the small staff is relyed upon to adept to various skills. Plus, most SB owners start without business training.

2. Inadequate Financing
SBs get their financing from bank loans, line of credit, trade credit (where the supplier supplies you materials and you don't have to pay until a certain amount of time) and even personal credit cards. Without enough fund, ventures may sink.
It is necessary for SBs to realize the importance of a cash reserve-because most SBs, like florists, may face uneven cash flow during their course of work. Flowers may be in high demand on Valentines and Mother's Day, but low at others. They need cash reserve to be able to sustain themselves.

3. Government Regulations
There is excessive government regulation and red tape for SB owners to go through. Paperwork itself costs billions among SBs.
While large firms are able to hire specialists, SBs have to struggle as they have limited staff and budget.
There are local, state and federal income taxes to pay as well, not to mention employee benefits. However, SBs are exempt from several Acts.

Sole Propriertorship, Partnership, Corporation
Advantages and Disadvantages

SP- Easy to form and dissolve. All profits after taxes are retained by owner. However, this lacks continuity and the liability is faced personally.

P-Expanded financial capability, as the bank may be more willing to offer loans to two partners. Complementary business skills and knowledge. Partnership is vulnerable to personal conflicts, which may be difficult to solve.

C-Is able to shield owners from both legal and financial risks, obvious financial capabilities as corporations can sell their stock. Besides that, liability is limited. However, this form of business is diffucult to form and dissolve and faces double taxation.

Wah. Last week I got an express mail from The Star. In the envelop was an invitation from Brats to a year-end trip in Sepilok (that's in Sabah or Sarawak). I assumed everyone of the 40+ Brats from Kajang would get it-but the email that I just received from them had only 15 email addresses in the receipient bar. Wah. Again.

But the flight ticket alone costs like...RM800? And money doesn't grow on trees, you know.

Lost!

"Just because I'm losing
Doesn't mean I'm lost
Doesn't mean I'll stop
Doesn't mean I would cross
"

*

I like this song by Coldplay.
Sounds very African tribal-ish.
Can be used in a Nokia commercial.
Or by a telecommunications company.

Can't seem to find it on imeem...so....listen to it on YouTube.

PS: There's this acoustic version as well. Bonus track, apparently, but it's not in the VLV I have.

Lost! (Acoustic) [Bonus Track] - Coldplay

Absolutely romantic and melodramatic, this version. So much more different than the original version-and both have their own attractiveness.
The acoustic version reminds me of Yellow.

There was supposed to be a 2-6pm class today.

And then it got cancelled.

But Janelle says everyone's going to college anyway, so now I'm sitting here, waiting for her to come pick me up.

So...why exactly are we going all the way across town to go, when there's no class?

*SIGH* Teenagers these days. *shakes head*

jue lyn's birthday

Sooooo the other day we celebrated Jue Lyn's birthday...

(the girl bottom left)

Aaaaaand she had this lovely chocolate cake to commemorate the event, which I had to carry and run all the way from one side of Pyramid to another, because the "surprise" was held at TGIF...

Class picture

Doesn't she look like an angel here?

Ooh angry angel!

We all had fun. The bill was outrageous. The food was so-so.

Love you lots Jue Lyn!

"a fool finds no pleasure in understanding"

How come teenagers blog about everything under the sun but we don't blog about politics?

We hantam the education system kau kau and gossip about the girl in tuition, but we don't bat an eyelid at politics and business.

(Yeah, I'm pretty much ='( because I don't know anything about the US credit crunch.)

Sigh. Bloggers are now deemed violent. More specifically, Malaysian bloggers.
Personally though, aren't emo bloggers more violent? They can certainly make the public nervous, what with their pessimistic, deeply dark philosophical behaviour towards life and all that. xD

The article by Dr. Bakri Musa, attached with the post, was really eye-opening.

Totally.
Extremely.
A hundred percent.
God bless Malaysia.

Here's a quote from the article:
Law professor Azmi Sharom said it best. “The arrest of Raja Petra, Kok and Tan shows that the law is so open to abuse that we have no other choice but to get rid of it. …. There can be no room for amendments. The ISA must go.” Amen!

(Azmi Sharom writes for The Star)
I wonder, though, if by saying that itself, he would get arrested under the ISA. Hrmm. Food for thought.

Also, do read Marina's post on Do Malaysians Hate Blacks?

An Anti-Racism Act would definitely be of much more worth than a Race Relations Act, don't you think?
I mean, all that violence-doesn't anyone want to stop it? The article from the Malay Mail (also in the post) goes to show that we are such hypocrites.

What a wonderful world.

but delights in airing his own opinions.

i hate emotions

...but we can't live without them.
Why do we question so many things in life...
Why can't we just be honest and truthful to ourselves? No one's going to kill you for being honest.
But I'm still afraid of being true.
There's a certain degree of vulnerability in doing so that I will only reveal my weakness to God. But now...things are changing.
I doubt it's still the same. I'm sorry.
I find myself thinking about so many things; wishing that some didn't happen, but I can't seem to find myself wishing THIS has never happened. I don't know lah.
Sometimes I just want to fade to dust, to not have any participation in the rhythms of life that will pull and push you, crush and smash you to oblivion countless times over and over again-But that's the essence of life. It's the holding on that's hard to do. I like challenges. Maybe that's why I'm not giving up. God showed me the line that says "If you're not facing strongholds and challenges, it means you're not in the fight anymore. Start worrying when everything seems okay,"

Now, here's the thing. I can't say that I don't believe in that, because that'll be bad. But I can't say that I believe fully in that, because that will mean I'm not being true to myself. There is a place deep within my heart that is still with God. That still longs for that assurance, that love and completeness, that feeling of humbleness that only God so big can make me feel.

So, people, do live your life. Don't give it up for a few hours of rest. You want rest?

GO TAKE A NAP. EAT CHOCOLATE. HUG A SOFT TOY. TALK TO A FRIEND. CRY.

It's been a while since I did any of those...

Maybe I'm just emo because of the beach. WHY IS THE BEACH SO EMO WHEN I GROW UP.
