Google Blogs

Did you know that Google has a machine that can search through blogs to find results for you?

http://blogsearch.google.com/
I use this to search for tonnes of stuff. Like for GY camp 2006, ISCF rally and most recently, CLIOD (College Life In One Day, Taylor's College).
It's so interesting. No, really. Let me show you.

Well, my blog came up as the last result for CLIOD but I found a few on the first page, like this one:
http://doopee.blogspot.com/2007/05/living-in-shell-hiding-from-myself.html
This blog belongs to a girl named Fatin who knows my best friend's classmate. I think she's from USJ 4.

And this one:
http://cherylho.blogdrive.com/archive/188.html
Cheryl studies in SMK Seafield. She was in the same course as I was. Her blog entry on CLIOD was SO SO SO supportive of Taylor's. No comment. At least she knows her cameras.

But this is just plain....weird. I think.
http://www.wretch.cc/blog/yuno4eva&article_id=6812864
Her entry on CLIOD was very short and the total opposite of Cheryl's entry.

Lastly, I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to the owners of the blogs mentioned above for blogging about them and would like to remind all of you that before you make a blog or post in it, think about how many people can reach in to your blog and read about your day. And post about that day in their blog.
I would also like to say this to Iona: Sorrylah I hurt your feelings by doing something you don't like. I do what I like, ok?

XOXO

Ecclesiastes 11:7
Light is sweet, and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.

Genesis 1:4
God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.

Genesis 1:12
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kind.

It is by God's grace and will that all these pictures from a single file (pictures from one day) could be strung together by scriptures and a theme.

I'm going off now. Too many pictures can spoil a blog. HAHAHAHA!

My mom got these pictures from her mail. This restaurant is located somewhere in Hartamas. I think.

Nice leh?

These two websites sell cupcakes which look VERY VERY similar. Is one party going to sue the other for plagarism?

Anyway both companies sell really really cute cupcakes. Agreed?

Yesterday, my "dear" cousin Iona and I went to Taylor's College with her sister, Ione. We took the KTM.

We were selected for the Architecture/Interior Design course for the College Life In One Day programme. Let's just put it this way: if college life were like that, we would be in college a LONG, LONG time ago. 'Nuff said.

I would like to apologise for setting the *ahem* "friend" test so hard. The questions were mostly based on my thoughts and of course, no one has ever been in my mind before, so obviously no one gets a score higher than 80 unless they take it twice. HAHAHAHAHAHA I feel so mean. LOL

image taken from Amazon.com
On Monday right, I saw this article about Universal Music giving out 30 Maroon 5 CDs to the first 30 callers of the day at a certain time. I called lah. I didn't expect to win, but I prayed anyway that God would bless me.
I called on my handphone for half an hour. Very patient. In the meantime I was looking at this adorable shoelacing site (www.shoe-lacing.com/shoelace).
After a while I went to the hall and watched Friends with my family. I finally heard a woman saying "Hello, Universal Music," at the other line when Phoebe confronts her long-lost father. Praise the Lord! For my call being answered, I mean.
Pengajaran: God wants to bless us. All we have to do is just to ask. Of course, it also has to be according to His will.

This morning I woke up and realized that today's forum title was Alam Sekitar and not Pekerja Asing. Once again I prayed that God would help me to make a beautiful pendahuluan that would speak of His beauty because I already prepared the pendahuluan for Pekerja Asing. Pengajaran: When you ask God for something, expect it.

The tuition teacher likes it. Praise the Lord once again. This was a very close shave. Usually the teacher randomly picks people to read out their pendahuluan and I'm seldom called. Mana tahu today she called me.

Going surfing now. CSI will be on at 10pm. PS: Keppler died in last week's episode!

Yes, We Have No Bananas

I'm chatting to my agnostic Australian friend called Dan. Agnostic means not believing in the existence of God but not denying that He exists either. In short, agnostic people are on the fence. In constant pain. God bless the people in pain.

I asked Dan to say something random. Here's what he said:
Champion Dan says:
Bananas are a herb
Sha says:
really?
Champion Dan says:
apparently
Champion Dan says:
i'll check
Sha says:
ok
Champion Dan says:
it's not exactly true. The tree bananas grow on is what is actually the herb, not a tree
Champion Dan says:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana
Sha says:
that's interesting-thanks
Sha says:
i belive the malays here use banana trunks for circumcision
Champion Dan says:
really? that sounds painful

I saw this on the Wiki page on bananas: The song Yes, We Have No Bananas was written by Frank Silver and Irving Cohn and originally released in 1923. Since then the song has be re-recorded several times and has been particularly popular during banana shortages.

Then I told him a quarter of my Christian life and asked him to check this video out:

Good night, and God bless everyone, especially those who are sitting on various fences all over the place.

Lalaism-sunday, 27th May 2007

Lala can be quite fun. HAHAHAHA.

At church, Pastor Michael spoke about evangelisim and the gospel and quoted John 5:24.

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.-John 5:24

Then he prayed for the youths.
Afterwards I joined the Valley Mayhem committee and the group leaders for lunch. Then I went home and napped. Naps are good. Then at 4.30 I went back to church for GHM. It was fun.

My mom picked me up and we went to fetch my grandfather. Now they're at the "Happy Men Singing Concert" (aiyah, translate from Chinese mah) with my father. God bless them.

Yesterday my friends and I were just talking about how the sinner's prayer isn't in the Bible. The sinners' prayer is the prayer you make to admit that you've sinned and that you accept Christ into your life to fix you. This was after Gabby said that the only thing that keeps her awake at night is the rapture.
I've been praying for quite some time. I've been praying that God would just minister to my parents through the Holy Spirit and through His word, both according to His will. Today, Pastor Michael made an altar call. I don't know if God was knocking on the door to my father's heart (Revelations 3:20*) or it was because of me poking his side for like 5 times or so, but he raised his hand. So did my mom. And I praise the merciful and kind God for that.

*Revelations 3:20-Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

I'm very sticky now. Here's a video I took yesterday.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JybWlAvuL6w

So I can't post a video on blogspot. Sue me.

Hormonal preteen on a merry-go-round (Joyce)

saturday, 25th May

You know what shucks?

I just came back from a tiring day, hoping and kind of praying that the audition for the ISCF choir wouldn't clash with CLIOD (College Life in One Day) and guess what? It *badword* does. I don't know if this is supposed to happen. Nisha said that she WANTS to join the choir only if I join it with her. Lagilah teruk kan?! The auditions are 2-3pm. LAGILAH SUPER TERUNG! lol. See what happens lah.

Apparently they want the choir team to sing with the praise and worship team during the P&W session. It's not that I want to be involved in so many things, but I love doing the things that I do and I love doing it with God for Him. Going back to the first sentence, I've heard that the P&W practices are SUPER often and SUPER take your time out of your current life. Not that I bother, but oh well.

I'm so emo now. Like Tien Hwei.

thursday, 24th May

Says Daryl: "I hope Jordin wins. Want to know why? Melinda will get a contract and Blake will have agents contacting him even if he loses."
Well, he does have a point.

photo from Yahoo

Biology paper 2
I look to my right as KY opens a packet of Tiger biscuits. He looked tired and took a piece to his mouth as SS sips his water and lets out a sigh.
It was a hot, hot day. KY's munching noises alerted SS and YD, who simultaneously turned around to see him eating.

K was in front but I couldn't see her as her head was flat on the table. What an appropriate time to have a nap. I took a look of the paper in front of me and saw something I couldn't finish and I'm sure many of us couldn't, either.
At my far left, I saw WO. WO looked like an aging middle-aged man facing severe stress . He was curled up in his white uniform looking like a hermit crab.
I read the question again.

"State the number of thoracic vertabrate and the number of ribs in a man." Well, that was an easy question. For the guys. They can just go to the toilet and COUNT. SH from the next class skipped by as the tought crossed my mind. He waved at WO as if saying, "WHEEEE!!!!"

Thus ended the last Friday of the exams.

CSI:CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
Ep. title: Law of Gravity (Sounds like the song Gravity by Coldplay)
Synopsis: Grissom returns from his teaching sabbatical as Keppler tries to conceal his ties to a double murder case that he and his CSI colleagues are investigating. Keppler desperately wants to keep his dark past hidden from his new CSI colleagues. As a result, he fails to disclose that he not only knows Frank McCarty, the retired police officer who reportedly found the remains of his cop friend and a prostitute in the friend's Las Vegas hotel room, but that Frank may have had a role in the murders. (Fr. CSIFILES)

This is the second best episode of CSI season 7 so far. I can't remember which was the best. Anyway, a character dies in this episode, which I thought was VERY uncalled for. The whole episode was very interesting but somewhere along the lines pretty much I knew what was happening.
It is fun to flap one's hand and scream in front of the TV during advertisements.

On another note, Samantha's birthday is on the 28th and I'm declaring now that I have yet to buy anything for her and will not plan to do so unless something catches my eye. She's a smart girl and so am I; we don't like stuff unless it's expensive. I think.
Anywho, buying gifts for a friend is always hard as we know what they want and we know there is no way we can get it. IMHOlah.

taken from Iona's blog

Last Tuesday I didn't have any tuitions so me, Khadijah, Iona and Daryl (Daryl's the only one without a blog, haha) crashed Iona's house to watch Mukshin. We took turns to bath like obidient little children and ate Dominos'. It was a fun movie and a fun time. We all enjoyed it very much. (Why does this sound like a karangan?!)

Yasmin Ahmad, the director of the movie will be directing another movie. Khadi and I are looking forward to it. It looks kind of conterversial (wrong spelling, I know) from her blog (http://yasminthestoryteller.blogspot.com) but I'm all for a breath of fresh air.

XOXO.
PS: I just realised that blogging takes away my time from real life. GASP.

PPS: Finished listening to Nidji's Breakthru'. Really good album. There were a few good songs and a handful of great ones. My favourite one is Hapus Aku because the lyrics to this song is the best yet since no one has ever attempted to put it to paper. It's emo, but not so emo that you'd avoid it. Disco Lazy Time is a weird song and had LOTS of Coldplay elements to it. It's an enjoyable song nonetheless. The album is peppered with Bahasa and English songs, which is a good thing. Overall, I give this album and A+.

PPPS: Gosh, I have a lot of things to say. Anyway, I just heard a few of Linkin Park's new songs by means of Amazon.com and I have to say that yes, they HAVE been commercialised. I wonder why a song like "Valentines' Day" didn't include some screaming of emo-ness. Uhm, no rapping so far and absolutely no banging heard in the background. That's all. And here's a quote from Chester Bennington: "I know we kind of helped created the sound of that genre, but I hate that genre."-on nu-metal.

monday, 21st May

Tomorrow is Nisha's birthday but I have yet to buy a gift for her. I guess I'll just have to look for it this Saturday.

I found this really interesting quote from The Plain Truth magazine:

A gossip is one who talks to you about others;
a bore is one who talks to you about himslef;
and a brilliant conversationalist is one who talks to you about yourself.

Add Maths tuition with Khadi later. Tomorrow got Add Maths 2 and Biology 3.
Yesterday my mother bought my sister a new phone. It looks like a small brick and I think it's this one:

(image from Google images)

I'm not jelous. Why should I? It's just a phone, after all. Why do you think Colossians 3:2 exists? My opinion of her new phone:
It looks like a Rubik's cube (if you don't know what's Rubik's cube, google it. Google is there for a reason, you know.) and it practically oozes emo. It's not purple as shown in the picture, it's more of black, grey and white. And it has a bleeding heart sticker on it. EMO EMO EMO!!! Of course this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that my sis likes Panic! At the Disco which is *coughEMOcough*.

On another note, my mother also bought me Nidji's Breakthru' album. I'm going to listen to it after the exams (the pastic wrapper isn't even torn off yet) and post a review. Critics say they sound like Coldplay and I say the lead singer looks like the lead singer of Coldplay. LOLOLOL I crack myself up. Nidji is Japanese for rainbow. They sang the song Heaven which was used as in the promotional clip of Heroes on Star World.

Speaking of Heroes, my friend just told me that Heroes season 1 is actually up to episode 22 instead of episode 19. He's already seen ep 21. Go figure.

6 things

I've been tagged. A long time ago.
Write 6 thing no one knows about yourself and tag 6 other people. Or something like that. I forgot lah.

6 things you don't know about me
1. x's half-frown at youth scares me.
2. I think lala looks are only good on guys. Lala girls are so...."I'M SO KAWAII! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!" Lala guys are so...."I'm so feminine! Look at me!" LOL
3. I personally think that Grey's Anatomy is more entertaining than Heroes. Seriously.
4. I dislike guys who spell baby chickens as "hot chiqs". That's just so wrong. In so many ways.
5. I like having PMS. I get to be very angry. And use the word "I" a lot.
6. Nothing else lah.

I tag Su Ling, Mandy, Mei Yen, Sherwyn, Joyce and Bernie. If they read this lah.

Next topic! Pisang's conversation with me...
Sha says:
weight issues my toot-ing toot
Der0nITE .::. How was your day? .::. says:
hahahaha
Der0nITE .::. How was your day? .::. says:
i love my cousin
Der0nITE .::. How was your day? .::. says:
*glomps her*
Sha says:
hahaha
Sha says:
so cute
Sha says:
i glomp you too
Sha says:
HAHAHHAHAHAHA
Sha says:
GETTID?

Third topic!
Linkin Park is out with their new album, Minutes to Midnight. If you Wiki Minutes to Midnight, a Doomsday Clock will turn up. It's a very scary clock okay.
Anyway I'm planning to buy the CD next weekend and will choose the cheaper CD to buy.
Critics say it's the bands' best work yet as it pushes the boundary of musical culture. Uh-HUH. Jon says they suck as they got "more emo". Like hello, they've ALWAYS been emo lah! Iona says LP is like wine-the older they get, the better they sound. Ridz say they're better. I say, belum cuba belum tahu.

Fourth topic!
At CF this week we heard about friends. At YE this week we heard about friends too. This is not a coincidence.

Ecclesiastes 4:10-12
10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Have I posted this before?

OK. Going to go off now. Until I find something else to blog about.

just a picture

BANANARAMA!
HAHAHAHA the nervous breakdown from the exams are getting to me. HAHAHAHA.
I just read U-Mae's blog and she was complaining about how not pretty she was with her bangs. Come on. She's like pretty and she's complaining about how she looks? Any guy out there who thinks U-Mae is not pretty has SERIOUS eyesight problem. Or that guy is Daryl. LOL. But, I mean,
Seriously.
Even I'm not THAT pretty but I know I am. And I don't complain about it. And I know people who look ugly on the outside are very pretty on the inside, and no, they don't have a beautiful pancreas to be beautiful inside.
I might be treading on U-Mae's nerve here so I'll just stop here. Have to study 3 bidangs of Pend. Moral and 20 or so chapters of Seni.
XOXO

Subject #1

1. I've arranged everyone alphabetically according to whichever school you are in. Isn't that a nice touch? *blink eyes*

2. I took the picture above with a 1.3MP phone camera. Amazing, isn't it? It was taken on the 4th of April. Iona and I were just done watching Chester Bennington at KLCC.

3. The purposes of this blog are many and one of them is to blog about other people's blogs. I blog randomly. Randomly, I'm going to start with Mandy.

Today is Wednesday, 2nd May 2007. It's Joanne Ng's birthday. I have lots of nasi lemak in my stomach, American Idol is going to start in half an hour and the mid year exam is starting next Monday, less than a week away. I am blogging.

Mandy (http://www.pearl-angel.blogspot.com/) is a girl of a very young age which I cannot disclose here due to certain reasons. I got to know her at Youth Energy (YE) last Saturday.

I don't really know lots about Mandy but I do know that her close friend is Jia Shing aka Emily.

Mandy studies in Sri Lethia. Her blog is a new one. She is the eldest in her family. She's quite shy but I'm sure she's not THAT shy. That's all I know about her.

I'm going to do some stuff now. Then I'm going to watch TV. Now shut off your computer and go study for MYE.

Proverbs 30:31-Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
